With a pilot project in Brooklyn in 2016, the Blockchain revolution also entered the energy space. Since then, the industry has been investigating use cases for Blockchain technology.
We see peer-to-peer energy trading, grid stability management and e-mobility charging concepts as the most attractive applications for Blockchain in this industry.
In a very recent study – to be published in December 2017 – the World Energy Council and PwC collected a snapshot of what Blockchain means for the energy industry. A preview of the results will be presented in this talk.
